Tyler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has provided services through community-based and outpatient settings.

Licensed in both North and South Carolina, Tyler has worked with children and adolescents over the past 5 years in various ways including research, managed care, and counseling.

Tyler has experience working in community health. She has completed research in the following areas: Mental health, Chronic Diseases, Autoimmune Diseases, Women, Minorities, HIV/AIDs, Health Disparities, HIV, Stigma, Self-efficacy, Children, Social Determinants of Health, and Veterans. She has worked as a Social Work interventionist for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and is currently a psychotherapist. Tyler’s therapeutic interest includes self-esteem/self-determination, peer pressure and peer conflicts, and identity crisis. Her primary interventions include solution-focused, strength-based, dialectical behavioral, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She is fully certified in BrainSpotting and in the process of becoming certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
